Website Selection- 4/28

 Take a look around Weebly & Wix and decide which website creation tool you like the best and will use for this project. (In your blog post, tell me which one you've selected and why)  Once you have seen what both have to offer, select an activity/club/sport that you are involved with (share with me which one you have chosen & why you selected this activity/club/sport).  Now, begin creating your website using the assignment sheet below. 

- I looked at both websites and the on that appealed to me the most was Weebly. I liked that you could choose from different categories such as business, portfolio, blog, events or personal and choose a theme from there. It gave lots of difference styles and options for how our want your blog to look then you can customize and personalize it from there. To me Wix just seemed more complicated and difficult to navigate. You have to enter in all this information about your business and you don't have the option to select a certain theme or page setup for your website. I am choosing to do my website on Gender Equality Club because it is something I care about and I enjoy being involved in and something I would like to let other people know about.

I learned new ways to enter data into my infographic. I used the website piktochart and I enjoyed making my infographic because the website I used made it easy, clear and simple to get my point across to my audience and represent my data correctly. I have used infographic websites in the past for school assignments and I believe I will in the future as well.

Blog Post- 4/7

 What is something that you feel like you are good at? It could be anything... Subject area in school, sport, hobby, craft... be creative! Think of 3 ways you could improve the classes' skill or knowledge in this content area. What are the techniques or "must knows" to become better at doing that thing? Write at least 5 sentences on the subject.


I feel like  something I'm good at is helping people. I want to major in an area of social work in college, it's always been something that has interested me. My freshman year for my volunteer service hours I spent time at a women's domestic violence shelter called SafeHome and I really enjoyed learning from the current employees and volunteers what they do there and how I can help as well. Some techniques I think you would need would include being a people person and a good listener. Its important to understand what these women have gone through and know how to talk to them and treat them. 

My Weekend- 4/3

This weekend I went down town to get my nails done with my friend Savannah. The next day I did my friend Ashley's makeup for prom. Later that day me and my friend Brianna went to the plaza to go shopping and to get dinner. On Sunday me and my mom went to breakfast and went shopping for makeup then when I got home I worked on my homework.
